From Funding to Frontier: Public R&D and AI Innovation Across European Regions
Maps AI patents across European regions and shows that public R&D is an important driver of AI innovation, supporting sustained and place-based public investment.
Outside academia, I worked as an Economic Analyst in the Council of Economic Advisors at the Hellenic Ministry of Finance and as an Economist in Irish Economic Analysis at the Central Bank of Ireland. I have also held policy and research appointments with the OECD, Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Bank of England and Irish Fiscal Advisory Council, working across household finance, financial stability, labour and distributional policy.
Below you can find selected policy publications and briefs from this work.
