I am an Economist and Lecturer in Economics at Brunel University of London.
My research lies at the intersection of household finance, empirical macroeconomics, and labour economics. A more recent strand examines the economics of artificial intelligence, including how AI shocks affect macroeconomic and labour-market outcomes and how R&D investment fosters AI innovation.
My work has appeared in the European Economic Review, the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, among others. I also have extensive policy experience. Before joining academia, I worked as an economist at the Hellenic Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Ireland, and represented Greece in European Commission and OECD policy fora.
My research on artificial intelligence has been supported by the European Commission, Brunel University London, and the British Academy, among others.
I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and am a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Limerick, an MSc in Economic Development from the University of Glasgow, and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Athens.
Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in any of the above areas for research collaboration or PhD supervision.
